Pursuit CV-X has improved basic performance with the latest Cross Surface Design. We have aimed for “Lenses you cannot part with that produce fun times” by further reducing sway and distortion.

Pursuit CV-X basic design <Cross Surface Design ® (Double-sided Control Design)>

Cross Surface Design® (Double-sided Control Design) is the latest design that has pursued more natural and comfortable vision than ever before by controlling the shape of the back surface and front surface of the lenses with advanced technology.
You will be even less susceptible to feeling the sways that occur when you move your face because distortions on the lens side are reduced. Moreover, it is possible to get an even more natural vision closer to the real thing because near-distance magnification is increased for those with myopia and magnification is reduced for those with hyperopia.

It is possible to further reduce sways and distortions from lenses with the traditional back-surface progressive + back-surface aspheric design by adopting the Cross Surface Design®.

As lifestyles have become increasingly diversified, so individual differences in close-work distance have increased. In addition, the horizontal direction prism effect changes with near sight power and this also results in variations in the near zone inset. Pursuit CV-X enables setting of the near zone inset in 0.1 mm gradations within a range of 0.0 - 5.0 mm, making it possible to achieve the optimum inset of the near zone for each individual customer and to make full use of the near distance segment Note that the left and right inset of the near zone may be set individually.

Pursuit CV-X is designed in detail by computer to match not only the eyesight of the user, but also factors such as lifestyle and frame shapes. Pursuit CV-X features short progressive corridors of 10mm, 12mm and 14mm, and this means that the lens can be neatly accommodated in shallow frames, an achievement difficult to realize with previous progressive lenses.

The numerical value that indicates the ability of the lens material to refract light is called the "refractive index" and the higher this index, the thinner the lens. Pursuit CV-X features a lineup of 3 types of material: Ultra-high 1.74 refractive index material, high index 1.67 material and 1.60 index material. In addition, back surface aspheric design is used to achieve a thin lens. The synergy between material and design enables a lens that is thinner and lighter than previous lenses.
